There are several ways of making gifts to C.PP.S. Mission Projects, each method offering tax benefits that may significantly reduce the cost of your gift.
Gift of Cash
By far the most popular method of helping, a gift of cash provides an immediate benefit to the C.PP.S. Mission Projects, and an instant tax receipt for you. You may receive a tax credit for a gift of up to 75% of your annual net income in any one year, and you may carry forward any excess for a period of up to five years. Spouses may combine their charitable receipts on one income tax return even if the receipts are not in both names.

Bequests
A bequest is a specific provision in your will, directing various estate assets to be given to the C.PP.S. Mission Projects in return for a tax receipt for the full value of the bequest. This receipt can be used to reduce the tax payable on your final tax return. These gifts can symbolize permanent memorials for you, your family or anyone you wish to honour.
Publicly Traded Stocks and Securities
Gifts of listed securities to the C.PP.S. Mission Projects benefit the donor in two ways.
- The donor receives an income tax receipt for the value of the donated listed security; and
- Capital gains on the difference between the cost of the security and its donation value are exempted from taxes.
Listed securities include shares of a publicly traded company, bonds, mutual funds, bills, warrants and futures.
To donate securities, please to open an updateable form that you can complete before saving, printing, signing and sending it by either FAX or mail to our brokers, Assante Capital Management, as instructed on the form.
In Memoriam Cards
The In Memoriam card enables you to offer your sympathy to those who have lost a loved one, and your donation will be acknowledged to the family of the deceased without disclosing the amount of your gift. A charitable receipt will be issued from the C.PP.S. Mission Projects office.

Living Gifts
Have you ever wondered what to give to the person who "has everything"? Or, perhaps you've been invited to a celebration where "best wishes only" have been requested. A C.PP.S. Mission Projects Living Gift offers you the opportunity to honour that special someone by making a donation in his/her name, while allowing C.PP.S. Mission Projects to continue their work in Tanzania. It really is the gift that keeps giving!
