Birds Eye View of Dar es Salaam

Dar es Salaam, or "Haven of Peace" is the commercial centre of Tanzania and is located along the shores of the Indian Ocean about six degrees south of the equator. 


Dar is the largest of Tanzania’s cities with a population of over 3,000,000 people.   This is the harbour where the shipping containers enter Tanzania.  In the Port of Dar es Salaam the containers are off loaded onto trucks before heading north up the coast to Tegeta.
